HONORARY TERRITORIALS.
SUPPORT OF THE COMMANDANT. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. MASTKRTON. May 13. hi reply to a communication sent to General Godley (Commandant) by the •Times' asking for his views on the honorary Territorial movement, the General states that he considers it an excellent idea. It could do most help to the defence scheme generally by remaining a purely civilian organisation outside tho military forces of the Dominion. "The Governor and Minister for Defence have both approved of the scheme," says General Godley, "and think it should bo kept an entirely nonpolitical organisation formed to oxpivss interest in and generally to help the Territorial units. Honorary members could," the General continues, "show their interest most: practically hy assisting Territorials who may be in dii'liculties, combating prejudice ami misunderstanding of the scheme and gonerallv making the Territorials realise that they have the civilian community at. their backs."
