Carlton, b Eoeso 1(J Later. Cibbs and Midlane batted soundly, though the former was the more aggressive. At the end of an hour's play tho score was three wickets for 82. Gibbs, not out .... ~« ~. ~.« 38 Midlane, not out 10 (!ibbs continued batting confidently and was chiefly resixmsible for hoisting the ceniurv. At 110, however, ho was beaten by Hickmott, 110—4—59.
