The annual report of the Rhodes Scholarship Trustees states that there were 176 scholars during the year. There work was sound, but not brilliant. The "section apparently does not reach the highest types of scholarship in Germany, America and the colonics, this being caused by the all-round physical and intellectual conditions imposed. Bishop Ingram consecrated"Khartoum Cathedral on the 27th anniversary of General Gordon's death. Many high Coptic ecclesiastics and leading Moslems were present. The Peninsular and Oriental Company's Beltana has been launched on the Clyde. BUNYAN MEMORIAL. LONDON, Jan. 26. A "John Bunyan" window was today dedicated in Westminster Abbey. There was an impressive service. The Primate of England was present. Dr Clifford and four leading Free Church ministers assisted the Dean of Westj minster.
