The Amateur Swimming; Uniou Confer.::; .• adopted a tentative agreement with a currency to July next providing that all contracting parties to the agreement must become affiliated to the union before that date.

A mail vote will be taken on the question of an alteration in the constitution.

The New Zealand application to be allowed to become a party to the agreement, with the proviso that the Dominion should be permitted to send representatives to the carnival only once in two years, did not meet with approval. It was decided that New Zealand bo informed that swimming representatives to the carnival would be welcomed during tho currency of the present agreement.

Due notice will be given of the date when the new agreement is drawn up so that New Zealand may send a delegate to the conference.
