Competition in all departments was brhk. even though the quality was not of the best. As was only to be expected, a sharp rise in prices resulted. Sheen were up about 2b per head, a pen of shorn wethers selling at 21s and a pen of ewes at 21s 9d. Lambs sold from 14s to 18s, an increase of about 5s per head; and in cattle the top price was £l3 12s 6d. These were up from 7s 6d to 10s per head.
