A trolley-car with 35 passengers leaped over a bridge near Pottsville (Pennsylvania) and fell a distance of 20ft into the river, where the water was only 6ft deep. Nobody was killed but many were injured. CAR OFF THE LINE. ONE KILLED; SEVERAL INJURED. Received December 27, 11.40 a.m. OTTAWA, Dec. 26. At Toronto a street car crowded with churchgoers ran off the line at a curve and upset. One woman was killed and several injured. A number of passengers fell through the windows and were pinned underneath the side of the car. The motorman has been arrested pending an investigation.
