As a result of tho anti-betting legislation in America the St..James Stud, one of the most famous'in the State's, and comprising 159 animals, is being brought to Sydney entirely. Tho New York correspondent of the London 'Sportsman,' writing under date October 9, made the following reference to tho shipment .—From Lexington, Kentucky, I hear that Mr Jrviiig H. Wheatcrol't, owner of the St. James Stud, will begin the shipment this week of his complete stud to Australia. Altogether 150 horses wll be sent to Melbourne, including the well-known sires, Saint Savin, Cesarion, and Don Royal, and the lot is reported to be valued nt £30,000.
