He had in-stored her with his attentions and followed her a'oout ami terrorised her with threats to shoot her and to eui his own throat. He had ils) borrowed money from her. She had been sr> pestered , that she had gone to the police for protection'. The ii'in paid that tho girl met him by an inrywnt merit made by her. She knew her parents wee againut ic and he was getting th:» blame. Mr Cutten s>.id accused would l*» bound over in two surolioa of £25 each to Ih> of good behavior to complainant for 12 months, and for tho assault ho sentenced him to 14 d >vs in gaol. Th«» magistrate remarked that if it were not that the man was th» sunport of hi* wife and family he would hive imjKiwd a much longer term of imprisonment.
