He denies the statement cabled from .Melbourne that he and Sir Wilfrid Laurier (Prime Minister of Canada) expected to arrange the Vancouver service in such a manner as to pave the way for the All-Red route.

A recent 'Daily Telegraph' Ottawa telegram says the Private Bills Committee has approved the incorporation of a new All Reel Line between Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The proposed name was t changed to the Imperial Steamship Company. The proposal is to establish a line of ocean steamers from Black Sod Bay and Halifax. The vessels, with a speed of 25 knots, are expected to cross the Atlantic in three and a-half days. Train ferries from England and Scotland are included in the project. For the Pacific service it is proposed to use vessels of 20 knets to ply from Vancouver to Auckland and Sydney.
