—— COMMITTEE MEETINC. 1 The monthly meeting of the Gore Agricultural and Pastoral Association Committee was held in Latham's rooms to-day and was attended by Messrs S. G. lnder (presiding), A. Murdoch, J. Clouston, W. Y. Dickie, A. Copeland, T. Telfer, Geo. Morrison, J. Turn bull, J. Stevenson, C. Cooper, G, P. Johnston, S. White, J. 'Dickison. P. S. Culltn, H. Smith and H. Mclntvre. THE RECENT SHOW. W. Waddell wrote drawing attention • to the fact that the stewards in the draught section at the recent show had ! admitted a mare the property of Mr 1 Ewen to be judged in Class 148, which had not been entered, and she was awarded iirst prize. He (Mr Waddell) could not lind any rule to warrant the stewards pursuing such a course, and he therefore claimed the first prize. In reply to the chairman the secretary said there was no entry in the name of 31 r Ewen in Class 118. The first prize was awarded to •">7la. out there was no such entry. '.l'lie prize ! was not paid over. Mr Ewen in his original list of entries had nothing entered for Class 148. Mr Cullcn said there was sonic mistake in .Mr Ewen's entry. He had alterations to his own list, but did not . inform the secretary of them. It was resolved: "That Mr Waddell ' be credited with the lirst prize, and 1 the difference in prize money be paid | j to Mr Waddell.'' Mr R. Miller, of Man'jdeville, was awarded second prize in I place of third. It was also resolved: j 1 "That Mr Ewen be written to cxplain- . ing what had been done."' / TROPHY PRESENTED.

It. Irving, jun._ wrote tendering Jiis resignation as a member of the committee. Ho stated that lie did so with reluctance, hut his departure from the Dominion necessitated the step.
