They had no money, and the Government directed that they should be fed. The officer had neglected to telegraph instruction': accordingly. Tile Premier (Mr Wilson) has decided to draw the French authorities' attention to the fact that the provisions on St. Paul Island (which belongs to France), where the crew landed, have not been renewed for 18 years, the biscuits there being mouldy and unfit to eat.
