ENTOMBED MEN RESCUED. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. COPYRIGHT. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received January 25, 8.10 a.m. PARIS, Jan. 24. Owing to the collapse of a claypit at Vinesville (Ncimandy) two men were entombed. The rescuers lowered 16 loaves, soup, 50 quarts of cider and tobacco to them, when a second cohapse occurred, cutting off communication. The rescuers worked day and night for 11J days. The shaft collapsed four times, but the entombed men were eventually rescued.
