Lord Selborne (formerly High Commissioner in South Africa) in a speech at St. Andrews (Fifeshire), referring to the Parliament Bill, said the Lords would not hestitate at any effort to defeat the Government's object. The Duke of Marlborough, speaking at Torbay, confidently predicted that ihe Parliament Bill would never become law. I
