THE LIFT FATALITY.

INVERCARGILL, Jan. 18. An inquest was held to-day on James M<jyle, who was killed by a fall down a lift yesterday, and a verdict was returned that death was due to an accident, no blame being attachable to any one. A rider was added to the effect that an answering signal should bo given from the engine to the to-) of the other floors in all lifts.
