GENERAL WHITE was bred by Messrs Mitchell Bros., of Parkside Farm, Weston, near Oaniaru. Ho is uow rising nine years old. Sire, Hussell's Fancy; dam, Maggie, by Hard Times. General White's sire, Russell's Fancy, by Macarthur; dam, Maggio McCormick, by Sir William Wallace: g-dam, Miss McCormick, by Lincolnshire Hero (imp.); g-g-dam, by Black Champion (imp.). Macarthur's sire, Mcßride (2987); g-sire, Macgregor (1487); g-g-sire, Dariilev (222). Macartlmr's dam, Maggie Bell, winner of 37 first and champion prizes, by Tasman, by Victor; Jane, by Dick's Black Champion. Tasman, the sire of Macarthur's dam, was got by Victor (imp.); dam, Countess, Tjy Count Bismarck (imp.). Tasman was champion of Victoria for many years. .
