MASTERTON AND NO-LICENSE.

AN INTERESTING POINT. PEE UNITED TRESS ASSOCIATION. MASTERTON, Oct. 19. Mr Pownall, solicitor for defendant in the recent liquor case where a fine was imposed for keeping liquor for sale, states that ho will probably test the point raised by him that Masterton is not a no-license district, as the result of the recent recount was never published and consequently electors had no opportunity of objecting to any of the alleged irregularities within 14 days, as provided by tlio Act. It is contended that the electors have still the right of objection if the recount is published now, and if the Licciv»ii£ Committee refuse to sit he will apply lor a mandamus compelling them to do so.
