FIGHTING IN MOROCCO.
THE SPANIARDS' LOSSES. MOROCCO. July 21. Furious attacks by Melilla Arabs, seeking to cut communication between the town and the Spanish camp, were repulsed with heavy loss. Tho Spaniards lost ten killed and twenty wounded. Tho Government liavo decided to send reinforcements, MADRID, July 21. Public opinion in Madrid opposes war, and excited demonstrations fiavo been held in several parts of tho city. Women invaded a railway station socking to hinder the departure of troops.
SERIOUS DISTURBANCES. j Received July 23, 8.55 a.m. ! MADRID, July 22. j Many members of the families of soldiers arc leaving Malaga for Morocco. In tho endeavor to prevent tho traiu from starting with troops ten persons were injured in encounters with the police. Members of n battalion from Barcelona which was ordered to Melilla threatened to stab their officers. Some ol tho officers from a neighboring barracks restored order, and tho mutineers had their cartridges taken from them.
