A CARPENTER'S DESPAIR.
PEE UNITED TRESS ASSOCIATION. WESTPORT, July 17. A man named William (jilbcrtson, single, aged 49, a carpenter by trade, who was in ill-health, took spirits of salts on Wednesday. This brought on pneumonia, from which ho died the following night. At tho inquest tho coroner came to the conclusion that the death of deceased was caused by drinking spirits of salts while in a state of temporary insanity.
