INTERESTS OF EMPIRE. CANADA. Received Mav 24, 5.2 a.m. OTTAWA, .May 23. Tiie Australasian delegates to the Imperial Press Conference received a great welcome at Quebec, the chief seaport of Canada. Madame Pelletier, wife of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, entertained the ladies of the party at luncheon and the authorities escorted the whole party on an evcureion to Montmorency Fulls.

Tlio delegates were later entertained by tlio Garrison Club and were cheered 011 leaving for England aboard the liner Empress of Britain Tlio delegates' farewell message to Canada was as follows:—"Wo gratefully acknowledge the warmth of the Canadian welcome. It its [made plain that the Canadians, like the Australians mid New Zealanders, recognise that the interests of the whole of the British Dominions are in common. We trust that Canada and Australasia will come still closer together and that their trade and commerce will continue to incroaßo."
