Murdoch was re-elected Mayor of Kumara yesterday by a ma jority of 16 over his opponent, Mr T. lvenJdy. INVERCARGILL COUNCILS. | The new Invercargill Borough Council is as follows:—\V. A. Ott. L. G. The new North Invercargill Council comprises the following:—Mayor, Mr B. A. Ekensteen; and Councillors T. Knuekey, Wm. Fraser, Chas. Blomfield (Central AVard), C. Guun, T. Foam, T. H. Martin (South AVard), B. D.,Ferrar, Wm. Bluo and D. O'C'allaghan (North Ward). For South Invercargill the following were elected -.—Messrs T. C. Gillies, D. Mel'fin. R. Anderson (South Ward), J. Lyons, J. Mitchell, J. G. McFadgen (Central AVard), S. McMillan. H. J. Kirby, and A. A. Crisp (North Ward). NELSON. NELSON, April L"J. Mills was returned as Mayor by a majority of 35 votes over Dr Trotter.
