The fishing during tho season has been poor until after the heavy showers which fell ten days ago, when all anglers who were lucky enough to lie on the rivers had a good time of it, and landed some splendid fish. The 'Winton Record' reports that Messrs W. and J. Hamilton caught 14 fish weighing 1351b5. recently, while Mr James Blee ; "Winton, was also successful in landing three nice trout weighing 14Jlb, 91b, and 4ilb respectively from the Oreti river on Monday last as the result of an hour and a-half's fishing.
