A TROTTING RECORD. %

The mare Myosotis put tip a remarkable performance at {few Brighton on Saturday (says a Christchurch telegram), and one that stamps her as being the speediest racer ever raced on that, track. Though the course was not in particularly fast order the daughter of Huon reeled off her first halfmile in the Telegraph Handicap in the phenomenal time of lmiu s*ee, and finished up the full journey in 2min 13 sec, after having to pass eight other competitors. This is easily a race record for New Zealand, either in saddle or harness. Myosotis was ridden by A. Wilson, and tho pair camo in for a groat ovation on returning to the enclosure. Under the circumstances—no paeomaker, a standing start, and a big field to pass —Myosotis's performance compares very favorably with Ribbonwood's colonial record of.2min 9sec. AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
