At the meeting of the Bluff Marl,or IJoard yesterday Mr K. A. Anderson was elected chairman for the ensuing term. Dr Hay, -who has been resident practitioner at, Mataura lor the past two years, has disposed of his practice, and intends returning t u England (writes our correspondent). Dr. and Mrs Hav i will sail from Wellington by the File.shire in March. Their departure is a matter for regret, as the doctor has mil only proved himself skilful in the practice of his profession but as a speaker he has met with much appreciation His ambulance lectures during the past two winters were made most intereMing to his classes, and on,several occasions he gave addresses before diili-rcnf local societies which were much appreciated.
