A GREAT CANADIAN RAILWAY.
A seel ion ol the (Ireal Trunk Pacific Railway. Go miles iu length, connecting Winnipeg with Hie new luwu of AVainwright in the moviuce of Alberta, has .just been opened for traffic. The line, which Js more than the entire length of the United Kingdom—from John o' Groats to the Land's End'—is only one section and not the longest in the iron road which is being constructed to connect the Atlantic coast with the Pacific. There are 1220 miles of the Grand Pacific coast line now under construction east of Winnepeg. while tenders are being called for the construction of. 576 more miles, bringing up the total under construction to 1801 miles east of Winnipeg.
