♦ SHOCKING CALENDAR AT AUCKLAND. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Nov. 10. In charging the Grand Jury, Mr Justice Iklwarils wiid it was" the most shocking calendar that had come before him during the past few years. There were three murder charges, but these might possibly be reduced to manslaughter before going to the jury. He advised the Grand Jury to return true bills in each case on the calendar. Elisha Trash, aged 30 years, who had contracted two marriages and was about to undertake a third when he was arrested, admitted the offence. Tho Judge said-accused had come to New Zealand from A'ictoria and sought out a young woman of resectable parentage, and under promise of marriage; bad ruined her life. Prisoner was unfit to be at He would be sentenced to five vears' imprisonment with bard labor. '
