WYNDHAM HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

A FINE DISPLAY. lIV Tl-:i,K<3KAPH— SI'KCI.U. TO 'jNSHiN.' WY.YDHA M. February 27. The Wyudham Horticultural Society's show opened this afternoon, there being a particularly fine display of cut flowers ami vegetables, while the entries were considerably in excess of last year's. In the amateur cur flower classes, A. Bi audford (who showed in the pansy and carnation classes), Mrs Evans (asters anil (liaiithi), unil Mrs Paull (sweet peas) all exhibited many fine blooms. Messrs Burrows Bros, and .1. B. Perks were prominent in the open classes, while Mr Smith's llnvereargill) double show dahlias were gre.itly admired. Vegetables wero a creditable display. In potatoes, in the amateur and open classes A. Gregory and W. J. Hainill secured first awards in keenly-contested classes. Oarlots also induced good entries, H. ,7. Christie (long) and .1. F. Henley (short) being the successful exhibitors. Mrs Waters secured a number of awards in the amateur classes. There was an exceedingly largo entry of fruit of prime quality. In appjes A. G. Clement, Burrows Bros., and F. Ait ken scored first prizes; and Mrs Porter, Mrs .John McKay, and Burrows Bros, were successful for plums. 11l addition there is a. creditable display of jams and jellies, baking and industrial exhibits. The show will bo open again to-monow.
