ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Goro Hand of Hope lust evening some 30 mniibcra were present, Mr Simpson presiding. The roport submitted showed that ihe organisation had had a very «icccssful, year, the membership now being 136 au increase of 71* for the twelve months. Various new hclicuk's hud been introduced in the way of addresses and entertainments, and tho levy of Is per member had been dispensed with, tho society deluding ou donutions and occasional collections for financial support. Regret was expressed at the departure of Mr Watt and .Misses Miller and Vclvin (2), who hud all contributed to the welfare of the euuse. Tho balance-sheet showed .in expenditure of £5 5» sd, and receipts uinounting to £5 12* 3d, leaving a credit balance of (is UK!.

Mr Simpson, in moving the adoption of the report, expressed himself as highly pleased with the result of the past year, and trusted the parents would assist in encouraging tho children lo take un interest in the society. He regretted the departure of the members already referred to, but wus confident there were still plenty of willing workers to till the ranks. The Rev. H, Hervcy and Messrs Inuraui und Hargest also congratulated members on the progress of tho society, and the latter expressed pleasure ut the number of parents who attended the week-night meetings.
