It was also decided to arrange for Mrs Harrison Lee to address meetings at Waikaia, Balfour, Kiversdale. Jlataura, and Edendale in August. Mr T. -J. Bull, of Mataura, was atltled to the committee. It was resolved that the committee express its sympathy with the no-license electors ol Port Clialmeis, but at the same time believe that, the apparent set-back will be for the ultimate benefit of the no-license cause. It; was decitled to obtain for dletribution a number of copies of the article which recently in the Southern Standard dealing with the Court statistics for the electorate. The date of the annual convention was fixed for October 11, when, i-ti all probability, the J!ev. L. M. Isitt, the well known Temperance advocate, will be present. The following handicaps have been declared by Nr A. -X, Gibbs for _ the (lore Gun Club's gold medal handicap, to be shot oil' on the Show Grounds on Wednesday next, commencing at 2 p.m. : —'J'. C.
