At the. conclusion of the prize gfrving (m which the junior classes i were concerned) on Thursday afternoon, the hobby show and sale of work;at.the Town Hall in aid of the prizes, cadets' uniform, and . g.ound improvement funds'were opened. A surprise was in store for everybody owing to the splendid display made, under the superintendence of the teaching stall. Specimens of work executed byf the scholars were shown, these embracing a wide range of efforts, the result in every case being distinctly creditable. The planticene modelling "(particularly - that of Master Wordsworth) was excel lent, while the colored and slate drawings also spoke volumes for the artistic talent possessed 4yp (he young exhibitors. The sale of work was also ' an attractive department of the function . The plain and fancy and doll stall was in the charge of Misses Howes and Muckay (assisted by Misses Rose Broadbent, Myrtle Taylor, Sarah Pre.xe. and JTorric Donaldson}. The flower and produce stall was superintended by Miss MacGilf >on (assisted by Misses Hazel Walker, Vera Roberts. Alice Wallis, and May Scott), and the affairs of the Christmas liw were administered by Miss Wilson (assisted by Misses Marie Fleming, Mildred Lee, and Masters Alfred Kerr and Andrew Martin). Miss Shepherd had charge of the lolly stall (assisted by Misses Elsie Mackay, Mabel Preece. and Lizzie Fletcher).
