ODDFELLOWSHIP.
(lOltt: LODGE. The half-yearly meeting of the Loyal United (lore Lodge was held on Friday evening, N.G. 11 10. Shave presiding. The principal business for the evening was the election and installation ot ollicers for ihe ensuing six months. The following ollicers were inslaikd by P.P.G.SL Bio. Bu-t, Jim. Nightingale acting as conductor: G.M., Bro. W. Shave ; N.G.. liro. It. Itoss; V.G., liro. T. TV; U.S., Bro. li. Tuoe.ood ; Warden, Bro. I). Kay; Guardian, Bio. 1\ Murray; li.S. to N.G., Bro. A. Turnlnill; L.S. to N.G., Bro. W. Johnston; U.S. to Y.G., Bro. A. Burrows; L.S. to V.G., I iro. A. King; auditors, P.G's. Bros. Shank.',, Domigan, and Marara ; members of juvenile committee, P.G. Bio. Stevens and Bro. Toogood. ft was decidi.d to accept the challenge from the Druids t,o a card party on July 10, and also that the Lodge take part in the piocession on Coronation day. .MATAUKA LODGE. The half-yearly meeting of the Mataura Falls Lodge, M.U.,1.0.0.F., was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Mataura, on Thursday evening last, when there was a large attendance of members. The election of ollicers for the ensuing half-year was proceeded with, and resulted after keen competition as follows; G.M., Bro. W. S. Caiswe'l :X.G., Bro. G. lilraor; Y.G., Bro. A. Gardiner; i'.S., Bro. J. S. Shanks, juri.; E.S., liro. A. Shepherd; Warden,Bro. Wm. Stark. The nonelective otlices were filled as follows: -Guardian, Bro. B. Downcs; R.S. to N.G., liro. H. D. Dawson; L.S. to N.G., Bro. H. F. Shepherd; It.S. to V.G.. Bro. W. B. Scott; L.S. to V.G., Bro. Jos. Wilson. I'.S. Bro. F. J. Sherwood acted as installing officer, and installed the various ollicers in their chairs. The newly ( -e!eeted ollicers returned thanks in suitable terms.
It has been decided to entertain Bro. John McKelvie at a Lodge social to be held shortly after his return from South Africa, where he lias been participating in the late Boer war. li-eeipts for the evening, Cl'.l Hi 7d. The anniversary ball in connection with the Lodge will be held on Friday, lib July.
