The annual concert under the auspices of the Gore Young Men's T.M.I. Society was held at the Town Hall last night. The weather was exceedingly stormy, and evidence of the strung attractiveness of the programme for the evening was afforded by the fact of attendance being fairly large. Had the evening been line a ctowd'd house would have have resultid. The programme was excellent in every respect. Miss Dewar contributed a pianofurte solo (" Itigoletto "), and played it magnificently. Mrs Blue (luvercargtll) made a welcome re-appearance, and was encored for both of her numbers, these being most artistically given. Miss Johnston sang " The Okl Couutree " most pleasingly, and bowed her acknowledgements to a recall. Mr W. Wright was recalled for his tasteful singing of " My Bonny Barque," while Mr A. S. Cookson ("Margarita") and Mr J. W. S. Nichol (" Out on the Deep ") added to their laurels by rnueb-appreeiated efforts. The comic element was in the capable hands of Messrs J. Jamie and R. L. Christie. Both of these peolicmen evoked much merriment by their whimsicalities, and double encores were accorded th> in. The accunipiinists during the evening wsre Misses Dcw:ir and Johnston, and Mr Cunningham. At a suitable interval, the Rev. 11. Begfjs (President of the Society) apologised for the unavoidable absence of Messrs Irving, Eadie, Evison, and Johnston, whose names appeared on the programme. The entertainment concluded with a screaming farce " The Lightning Conductors," the various characters in which being ably sustained by Messrs C. W. Ross, C. Ingram, T. Christie, C. E. Hannah, H. Cameron, and W. T. Calder.

The order for imprisonment was held over for a fortnight to enable defendant to pay up. At the Gore Court this morning, before Mr G.
