ODDFELLOWSHIP.

WAIKAKA LODGE ANNIVERSARY. The Waikaka Lodge of Oddfellows held its annual supper and ball in the hall on I'iiday evening last. The function was most successful and enjoyable throughout. Some o0 couples sat down to the supper, which was supplied in lavish style by Host Shirley. Bro. H. W. I'arsons, P.G., presided, and on the stage with him were Bros. J. Jenkins, Geo. Jenkins, and Thompson, representing the Tapanui Lodge. Ample justice having been done to all the good things provided, the following toasts were duly honored " The King," Bro. I'arsons, P.O. ; " The M.U..1.0.0.F.," Bio. Kirby, I\G.; " The lioys at the Front," Bro. J. Jenkins, I'.G., Tapanui Lodge; " The Waikaka District," Bro. J. W. McLeod ; and " The Ladies," Bro. M. Curran, N.G. Bro. Jenkins, on behalf of the visiters, thanked the Lodge for the splendid manner in which they had been entertained. Bro. O'Kane proposed •' The Host and Hostess." Songs were rendered between the toasts by Misses Beattie, Maslin, and Archibald. The hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion, and the tables, as set out under the supervision of Mrs Shirley, presented a most inviting appearance.

Dancing commenced in due course, the music for which was supplied by Messrs Middlemiss and McWill (violins), and J. Nicol (piano). Messrs G. O'Kane and Mastin acted as M's.C.—Own correspondent.
