In the matter of a Bill to be intituled " An Act Authorising the vesting of certain lands in the Town of Gore, being a Cemetery Keserve in the Gore Borough Council, and changing the purpose for which the same was sei, apart. "VrOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Apj_\ plication is intended to be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand at the present session ihereof FOB LEAVE TO BIiING IN A BILL to be intituled " An Act authorising the vesting of certain lauds in the Town of Gore being a Cemetery Keserve in the Gore Borough Council, and changing *he purpose for which the same was set apart." The objects of such Bill are as follow : Wheivas the land described in the Schedule hereto is situated wiihiii the Borough of Gore and is vested in the Gore Borough Council as a site for a public cr.inc.ery, and whereas very few bmi.ls nave been made in ihe s id land, and the same has now been long anused as a public cemetery, and whereas the Town of Gore is provided with a suitable cemetery elsewhere, which has been used for many years, and it is desirable that the purpose for which the Keserve was set apart should be changed, and that it should be granted to tbe Corporation of the Borough of Gore for an estate in fee simple : 1. The short title of the proposed Act to be " The Gore Cemeiery Keserve Vesting and Enabling Act, 1901." • 2. To provide that it shall be lawful for the Corporation of the Borough of Gore to remove from the said land any body or the remains of any body which may have been interred therein to the land now used by the Town of Gore as a cemetery, and to inter the same in such last mentioned land, anything in " The Cemeteries Act, 1882," or any amendment thereof to the contrary notwithstand-
3, To provide that after all such bodi ;s or remains shall have been removed under section two hereof the Governor may under" The Public Reserves Act, lHjl" gram the said land mentioned in the schedule hereto to the Corporation of the Borough of Goie for an estate in fte simple without power of sale as a Reserve for municipal purposes. All that parcel of land in the Southland Land Disirict, containing by admeasurement 2 Acres 3 Hoods 8 Perches {more or less), being section Numbered 17a, block XVI, situate in the Town of Gore,' bouided towards the North by Section Numbered 4(j, towards the East by a public road and seution Numbered -17, towards the South by section Numbered 48, and towards the West by section Numbered 40. And notice is hereby given that a copy of the said Bill and a plan of the said land have been deposited in the Magistrate's Court, Goie, for PUBLIC INSPECTION pursuant to the Parliamentary Standing Order in that behalf.
