WEEKLY MABKET REPORT. Messrs A. Momtzbon and Co., Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for week ending Feb. 20. All quotations subject to market fluctuations:— We would ask farmers when sending samples always to put a price on them, as buyers are not inclined to make offers. Wheat: There is a fair demand for prime qualities. Best velvet, 2s 6d to 2s 7d; best Tuscan, 2s 6d to 2s 7d; medium, 2s 2d to 2s sd; red chaff, 2s 5d to 2s 6d; fowls wheat, 2s to 2s Id. Oats: Are in good demand. Prime milling are worth Is 6 jd; best feed, Is 6d; medium and inferior from Is 2d to Is 5Jd per bushel. Barley: Feed sorts are quoted at Is 6d to Is 9d ; milling, Is lOd to 2s; malting, 2s Id to 2s Od; Lakes, 2s 9d to 3s. B>ecorn : 2s to 2s Gd. Maize 3s bushel GOlb. Flour, £6 10s. Oatmeal. £9 10s. Pearl bailey, £lO 10s. Bran £3 10s. Pollard, £4. Nelson hops are quoted at 8d to lid f.o.b. Linseed, £ll to £l2 (scarce). I Potatoes: New kidneys, Id per lb. Chaff: Prime quality, well-cut, oaten sheaf is worth £2 7s 6d to £2 12s6d; medium, £2 to £2 7s Cd.

Ryegrass: There is a fair demand, but prices show no improvement. We quote: Farmers' dressed, Is 3d to Is 6d, and up to Is 9d for extra heavy samples. Cocksfoot, 2Jd to 3d for farmers' lots, and 3sd to 4d for machined. Pressed straw, 255. Clover hay, £3 ss. Nitrate of soda, £l3. Sheepskins: Diy pelts from 6dto Is, crossbreds, 2s to 4s, extra 4s Gd We sell every Tuesday. Rabbitskins.—We offered a fair catalogue this week. Competition was good. We quote: Suckers and runners, 3d to 4sd; summers, 5d to 7d per lb; autumn, 9d to lid; winters, 14d to 16d; selected, to IGJd to 17d per lb. Wool: Our next sale will be held on the 21st inst. Hides: 3d to 4Jd, according to weight and condition. We have a special enquiry, and can guarantee top prices. Tallow: Rough fat, 12s Gd; rendered, 15s to 18 ! l

Horsehair: Is 2d to Is 4d. Crown Sheep Dip: The best in the market ; price, 4s per gallon. Country sales conducted on the most reasonable terms. We can supply rabbit and sheep netting, and give special quotations by the mile. Farmers 4001b (Fairbank's) Scales, £5 10s. Clovers, rape, and turnip seeds, all freshly landed. Prices on application. We can supply Newton's patent woolpresses at £l3 here. Bergers' red and black sheep branding oil 4s a gallon. Salt Butter : Our contract is fixed—lst grade, 7d ; 2nd grade, G.Jd; 3rd grade, 5.Jd (both for milled and dairy); prime quality wanted. Consign to our address: Cool Stores, Port Chalmers. Cheese: Factory, 5Jd ; Akaroa, 5Jd. Onions : 10s per cwt. Pigs : For sizes up to 1601b, 3jd to 3sd ; over that weight, 2d to 2Jd per lb. We have inquiry for 1000 live pigs. Bacon: middles, 7d; rolls, little demand, 5Jd to Gd; hams, 7Jd to Bd, DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly auction sale on Monday, when the attendance of buyers was fair and prices ruled as under : Oats.—The demand for good to bright short feed, suitable for shipment, continues fairly active, while milling sorts are also in request. Musty and damp oats are almost unsaleable. We quote .—Prime milling Is (ijd to Is 7d, good to best feed Is 5d to Is (>|d, medium .4s 3d to Is 4Jd, damp and inferior Is to Is 2sd (bags extra). Wheat.—The market remains steady. Prime samples have attention and are saleable at quotations, while medium quality is not so much sought after. Fowl feed is scarce and readily placed. Quotations: Prime velvet and Tuscan 2s Gd to 2s 7d, medium do 2s 3d to 2s sd, fowl feed 2s to 2s 2d, broken and damaged Is 8d to Is lid (bags in, terms). Potatoes. -As last sale's stocks have been worked oil and consignments are not coming in so freely this week, prices have advanced £1 per ton. Prime Derwents from £5 to £5 ss, prime kidneys £1 15s to £5. Chaff.—Prime oaten sheaf meets a good ■ demand and is readily saleable from £2 10s to £2 12s lid, extra bright and heavy £2 15s.
