EXCELSIOR FOOTBALL CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. Tho annual meeting of the above club was held at the GoreAthenreumlast night. There was ft fair attendance of members, the president (Mr W. Wright) occupying the chair. The annual report and balance sheet were read by the chairman. The former showed the club to bave a membership roll of 35, 30 of whom were playing members. During the season the' first fifteen had played eleven matches, winning six, losing four, and drawing one, and scoring 93 points against 31. Two matches were played by the second •fifteen; one of which was lost and the other drawn. Special, mention was made of the services rendered to the club as " coach " by Mr J. Ward. The balance . sheet showed tbe receipts to have been £28 8s lid and the expenditure £25 17s Id, this, added to a sum of £3 in the bank, leaving a credit balance of £5 lis 10d.— The report and balance sheet were adopted, on the motion of the President. Twenty new members were elected, and the following office-bearers were appointed for the season : — Patron, Mr R. McNab, M.H.R. ; president, Mr W, Wright (re-elected) ; vicepresidents, Messrs D. M. Montgomery, A. Pope, C. Smith, O. Kelly, E. It. Bowler, E. D. Bust, C. J. Moloney, S. G. Inder, and M. Hanley; secretary and treasurer, Mr D. Macara ; practice captain, Mr J. Ward ; deputy-captain, "Mr B. Mair ; committee, Messrs P. Murtagh, A. Cuff, M. Cahill, D. Whytock, and W. Cox ; match committee Messrs Cox, Ward, and Mair. The opening day was fixed for Wednesday, 21st, and it was left with the committee to arrange » match for that date in aid of the more horses' fund. The subscription was fixed at 2s, and after discussing several matters of general interest to the club, the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
