London, August 2. Hooley's examination was resumed to-.day. He said he was prepared to prove every word he said on Wednesday. He asserted that he paid Earl Winchelsea through his son, the Hon. Finch-Hatton, who is a member of the House of Commons. Hooley produced cheques endorsed by Winchelsea and others who had disclaimed that" they had received; money. He said Earl De la Wftrr had offered him £1000 if he would contradict the evidence he had given on Wednesday, and similar offers had been made by some of tha Humber- directors and by an anonymous person on bshalf of Earl Albermarle. He also states that Martin, chairman of the Humber Company, received £26,484, and Kemp Welch, a director of Schweppes, £55,000. - ' Hooley made many sensational pharges against the directors of different companies and others, the bulk of twhich; were denied either in court ov in the newspapers.
