Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report as followa ; —

Oats _: We offered a fair selection, which met with moderate competition. Prime sparrowbills were not in request, the demand being more particularly for medium grades. We quote long Tartars, Duns, and other special seed lines, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; prime milling, 2s 3d to 2s 6d ; good to best feed sparrowbills, 2s 2d to 2s 3d ; medium, 2s to 2s ljd ; inferior, Is Gd to ls lid per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat : The demand for milling quality is still weak, and in this sort there is no business being done. We offered several trucks of good whole wheat, wliich sold at 3s 3d to 3s 6d per bushel (sacks in). ' Potatoes: The demand continues to be strong, and all good lots offered to-day were well competed for. We sold : Best Derwents, £7 7s 6d to £7 12s 6d ; medium, £6 10s 6d to £7 ; kidneys, £6 to £8 per ton (sacks in). Chaff : We offered eight trucks, the bulk of which was of good to prime quality. For these there was fair competition, but for medium sample there was little demand. Best oaten sheaf sold at £3 10s to £3 15s ; medium to good, £3 to £3 7s 6d per ton (bags extra).

Messrs Daloet y/ano Co. report that prices ruled as under at their sale on 11th inst. :

Oats : We oflered several lines of fair to good feed, but owing to prices not reaching our reserves passed in the most of them. Prime feed, 2s 2*d to 2s 3d ; fair to medium, 2s ld to 2s 2d ; light and inferior, Is lOd to 2s.

Wheat : Only fowl feed offered, which sold from 3s 3d to 3s 4d.

Potatoes : The market is only fairly supplied, and all prime lots are readily sold at from £7 10s to £7 12s 6d.

Chaff : The amount of light and inferior chaff on hand is in excess of requirements, but really prime sells from £3 12s Cd to £3 15s *, fair to medium, £3 5s to £3 10s ; inferior and light, £2 I7s 6d to £3.
