CLEARING SALE.
Messrs Bbeweb Tbembath and Co. report as follows : — On Thursday, June 18, we held a clearing sale at Mr Geo, Wood's farm, Wendon, which proved most successful. The attendance of buyers waslarge, allthe surrounding districts being well represented, and as the sale was an unreserved one — Mr Wood having sold his farm —bidding was brisk, the stock, implements, &0, , fetching good prices. We sold ' 14 horaes, the following being the best prices obtained :— £2B 10s, £26, and £22 10s; others up to £18 10s. The implements, which were unmerous and in good order, sold as follows : — Binder, £15 ; seed sowers, £13 ; cultivators, £12 ; drays, £8 and £G 5s ; waggon, £10 ; ploughs, £8, £7 10s, and £4 , harrows, £4 and £3 5s ; tripod, £3 5s ; Cambridge roller, £12 10d ; horsepower, £10 ; chaffcutter, £7 ; chain harrows, £2 10s ; corn crusher, £3 10s. There was a quantity of harness and suadries, all of which fetched full Values. The arrangements for the sole were well carried out by Mr Wood, and the inner man leceived the best of attention at the hands of Mrs Wood, who supplied luncheon at the homestead.
