CLEARING SALE.
The Fabmebs' Agency Co., Limited, report having held a very successful clearing sale on Thursday last on account of Mr Murray and Mr John Scully, at Pukerau. There was a large attenndance, buyers being present from Clutha, Te Houka, Wairuna, Clinton, Tuapeka West, and the immediate districts were also well reprerepresented. The horses were a splendid lot and well known as good workers, and were sold under keen competition at the following prices:— Bay gelding "Baldy," £25 10s ; bay mare " Bios," £34 103 ; bay gelding " Bob," £28 ; bay mare " Lil," £28 10s; mare "Branch," £16 10s; "Duke," £16 ; brown gelding " Duke," £21 ss ; black gelding "Dan," £28; gelding' "Jack," £9 10s ; " Paddy," £29 ; grey gelding "Prince," £35 sa ; mare " Polly," £21 ss ; black mare "Bett," £13 10s; bay gelding "Jimmy," £18; black gelding "Dick," £15 10a; bay gelding " Jock," £14 j chestnut gelding " Don," £19 ; black gelding " Duke," £23 103 ; bay gelding " Tom," £19 ; bay colt " Nugget," £27 ; chestnut mare •' Nell," £21 103 ; bay mare " Kate," £27 10s ; " Darky," £17 15s ; " Prince," £15 103 ; chestnut colt, £19 ss ; " Dick," £15 15s ; " Miok," £26 10s; "Paddy," £24; "Kate," £32 103 ; "Bios," £25; two-year-old filly, £18 10s; two-year-old do, £22 10s. Hacks were not in demand, only two being sold at £9 and £12 respectively. The implements sold at satisfactory prices. Cattle : Steers at £4 ss, cows at £4, young catlle at 30s. Sheep : Crossbred ewes in lamb, 83 ; crossbred hoggets, 8s 4d.
