The following replies in addition to those already published have been received from candidates in reply to the Synod's questions. Question I.— Will you, if elected, use your influence ana vote to have the daily use of the Scripture Lesson Books of the Commissioners of National - Education in Ireland in the Publio Schools referred by way of plebiscite to the electors of the colony for their decision ? Mb Henby Gbaham (Wak'atipu) : Yes, as I believe it to be the best course to take. Mr Thomas Ayson (Clutha) : Yes. Question n.— Will you, if elected, support a Bill giving immediate effect, with the provision of a conscience clause, to the decision of the electors, if that decision should be favorable ?
