ANGLICAN CHURCH MATTERS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sin, — In report of the Church of England parishoners' meeting held at Gore, on Friday evening, the chairman is made to say that in no part of the district, with the exception of Tnpanui, had the Committees fulfilled their financial obligations. This of course means Mandeville for one. I wish to state for general information that up to January Ist, 1890, the Mandeville committee does not owe the minister one penny or fraction of that sum. He has been paid up to that date, and in no year has the minister fulfilled his obligation to the parish, although ho has been paid for it. For example ; this last quarter we got one hour's service, the committee having to pay £G 5s Od ; and for two quarters Ll2 10s : one special collection 5s Gd. The £12 10s I may say comes out of the pockets of five person, namely, Messrs Bell, Wayte, Horrell, Pope and Beecot. In my opinion this is rather warm for four hours' ministration. — Yours etc., H. G. Beecot, Secretary, C.0.E., Mandeville.
