DUNEDIN HORSE MARKET.
Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co. report as follows :— ■ ' The entry for our sale on Saturday was a small one, and as there were few fresh horses ''.advertised the attendance was also small. The demand again was confined almost entirely to draughts, but as there were very few of these forward to choose from one or to country buyers had to leave without suiting , their requirements. The greater number of .the horses offered were comprised of medium spring cart aud light harness horses, for which there was little or no demand. We quote : —Heavy draughts (4yrs to 6yrs) L2O to L 25; do (Byrs to 10 yrs) Ll2 to Ll9 ; medium draughts (4yrs to 6yrs) Ll4 to LlB ; light. and small do, L 8 to Ll2; aged and inferior do, IA to li 7; upstanding spring cart horses (young and sound). Ll2 to Ll6; . active spring van horses (do), Ll4 to LlB ; upstanding hacks and harness horses, 1,10 to Ll4 ; aged and inferior do, L2to L 5.
