THE SETTLERS GETTING TO WOKK We are clad to hear news from the Haldane settlement. One of the successful applicants at the recent ballot writes us in the following Btrain :— At present there are eight State farmers working on a sort of junction road east of the estuary, 1o fill in time, as it were, till the Inepector gives them lines to fell bu9h.
