MATAURA.
A meeting of the Mataura School Committee was held on Tuesday evening last : present— Messrs Balneaves, in the chair, Clark, Dickie, Reid, C. P. Sleeman, S. Sleeman, Shepherd, and Thompson. The head teacher wrote regarding a musical instrument for sohool purposes, It was agreed that Messrs Balneaves, Clark, und Reid, with the assistance of Mr j Macandrew, should get all the Information possible as to cost, and report at next .meeting-. The Visiting Committee reported that Borne gravelling was wanted, and that the swings and spouting required to be attended to. Tbe Chairman was instructed to attend to the matters. An acoount read was held over for investigation.
