WAIKAKA.
I The retiring committee reported that their first work was to ask the Board to grant the teacher one month's sick-leave, a request which wan at once complied with, the school meantime being in chaipe of Miss Jamieson, B.A. It was worthy of note that this wa» the only time tho teachor had been off duty during 12 years. The annual examination resulted very favorably, and the Inspector's ! report of the work done was highly complimentary to the teachers. The attendance has fallen off considerably, and as a result the Board haß dispensed with the services of the pupil teacher. Only works of a trifling Datnre were done during the year, the committee deeming it advisable to leave the repairing of the glebe fence to their suecessorSi there being no immediate necessity for the work. The committee commenced with a balance in hand of L 7 0s lOd, and leave a credit {balance of L 8 18s 4d. Mr Pullar, never wearying of well-doing, as usnal caited the yearly supply of coal. The old committee were ro-elected, viz, : Messrs J Paterson, J Bobertson, B Gardyne, A Johnston, A Pallar, A McQueen, and W Ajson. Mr J Paterson was re-elected chairman, and Mr J W MoLeod secretary,
