GORE RIFLES V. G BATTERY.

A team from the G Batter/, InvercargilJ, tried conclusions with the tiore Eifleeon the local range on the Prince of {Wales' Birthday. The teams were ten men a-3ide, ftad the rangeß 200 and 400 yards, 10 shots each range. The light was fairly good, but tbe wind was strung and goaty. In order to allow 'he visitors to catch the 3.30 train tofic«i»hm«'cts were provided on the ground. A large tent was erected, and under the Miperiutendence of Mr and Miss Lovell a good spread was laid and done full justice to by both teams. Following are the scores :—
