Black, Esq., Craigenerosh, Stranraer. His sire, St. Lawrence (3220, CSB), grandsire Prince of Wales (673), winner of first prize at the Highland and Agricultural Society's Bhow at Edinburgh in 1869; second at Dumfries in 1870 1 first at Kelso in 1872, and first at tue Royal, at Manchester, in 1869. He was sold for L 945 when 18 years old. His stock have been very successful prizetakers. St. Alexander's dam Sally (194), by Lord Lyon (489), was commended at the Highland Society's Show, at Edinburgh in 1869; grand dam Maggie (20), by Samson (740); g grand dam Sally by Biggar (45); gg. grand dam Maggie, by Clyde (155), .winner of the first prize at the Highland Society's Show ,a$ Glasgow in 1841.
