Presentation at Riversdale.
A very pleasin r ceremony came off on Friday last in the Rivertdule school. Miss A. Munro, who haa covered her connection with tbe eohool, was the recipient of a bandsome gold watch, mutably inscribed. The presents* ion was made by Miss Jaannie Smaill (on behalf of tbe pupils and parents), who said—" Dear Mies Munro,— On brhalf of my fellow pupils I have to express our sincere regret at your severing your connection with our scboo! as a teacher. For the last six years we, your past pupils, have ever been the objects of your tender care and solicitude, and we now on tbe evo of your from the school take this opportunity of wishing you every happiness aaJ probpfcrily in your future career. Your z ;al for the success of your pupils has ever commended itself to our parents, and the memory of your unvarying, kindness will ever live in oar hearts. On behalf of my fellow pupils and our parents I would now ask your acceptance of this gold Witch is a slight token of our esteem and regard for yourself, and as a memento of your long connection with tbe Kiveredale school." The inscription on the watch reads , as follaws :— " Souvenir to Miss Aleza \ Munro, from her pupils and their parents'. Bivererlale school, 5 — 10—94." Mr Munro suitably tbauked the children and parents (of whom a great many weie present, the school being crowded) on behalf t of bis sister. beveral members of the committee also I testified to their appreciation of Miss Munro's work while oonneoced with the bChool. The Chairman of tbe committee then called upon the scholars to give three oheers for Miss Munro, after which a packet of lolliis was given to each of the children in honor of the oo asion.
