H. Carswell aad Co.'s weekly stock and produce report for the week ending Tuesday 26th August, 1890. We held our weekly sale at the fnver cargill yards to-day, There was a large attendance of buyers. Fat Cattle.— 49 yarded, quality ranged f'.oaa good to prime. Tne sale opened dull but as it progressed it improved, and las) week's prioes were fully maintained. Besl bullocks brought from L 6 10s to L 8 ordinary to good, L 5 os to L 6 6s ; best cows L 6 2s 6d to L 6 12s 6d ; ordinary to good, L4to L 5 10s. We sold several pens al quotations. Fat Bbeep.— Only 486 penned, comprising about equal numbers of wethers and ewes quality from good to prime. Demand brisk Fat wethers brought from 16s 3d to 17s 4d ; one pen extra heavy brought 20s j best ewes 14s to 16s. .
