Some of the members are evidently good judges ot dis.tance, as thoj.gave tha- exact distance In sereral caßo( #; and were within a few yards in other casefl. After the drill wjls over a meeting was held in O'Eane's - Hotel, when a commiitee was appointed to draw up a programme of Sports for the picnic at Wai* mea «n the 16th of January. The RiverSdala Rifles are expasted to appoint a committee to co-operat* with tbe Gore Rifles in (etting up a good programme for the occasion. Another committee was appointed to airange for n rifle competition at tbe Gore targets on Boxing day, to be open to all comers. - The Gore Rifles again mustered last night under Lieut Henderson to the number of 29, when after a short drill the company was dismissed,' to allow tha members to attend the Fisk Jubilee concert,
